The SPOT Gen4 handheld GPS messenger allows you to send messages to friends and family and, in the case of an emergency, to local response teams, from almost anywhere in the world.
Go beyond the boundaries of cellular service with the SPOT Gen4 handheld GPS messenger. Cease the worries of your loved ones with quick messages when you’re wandering off the grid. In the case of an emergency, just press the SOS button and the device will send your GPS coordinates to local response teams.
The SPOT Gen4 features:
- SOS button – in an emergency, push the SOS button to provide your GPS coordinates and information to local response teams via the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Centre.
- Motion-activated tracking – with vibration sensors that tell your SPOT to send track updates when you’re moving and to stop when you do.
- Check-in messages at waypoints – send a pre-programmed text message or email with GPS coordinates to up to 10 contacts; these waypoints are stored in your SPOT account for later reference.
- Custom messages – set up custom messages before you head out on an adventure.
- Help/SOV – alert your personal contacts that you need help in non-life-threatening situations or use SPOT SOV when you experience technical difficulties with your vehicle.
- Rugged, pocket-sized design – built for adventures, so you can stay connected wherever you play or work.
- Battery life – 4 rechargeable lithium batteries for sending up to 1,250 messages.
- Operates in extreme temperatures – from -30C to +60C.
- Dust and water resistant – with the highest standard IP rating.
